Helping you BE More

I am a professionally trained and certified coach passionate about inspiring and supporting you to BE more in all aspects of life. Moreover, I, along with my wife, am living what I consider to be a successful and fulfilling life, both professionally and personally – testimony to my credibility as a coach.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as follows:

“Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”

Coaching takes place in a series of coaching sessions, usually up to an hour in length, with each session focused on an objective set by the client.

The session will end with a summary of learnings and actions/deadlines to be taken, with clear agreement on how the coach will support the client.

Coaching is based on the Socratic school of thought and the belief that we all have our own “inner knowing”.

The coach acts as a facilitator to ask questions and listen, in order to collaboratively discover the client’s inner truth and ideal course of action.

Interested?

I have limited availability for one-on-one coaching, and I am also selective about the clients with whom I work. I also expect clients to be selective about whom they work with as a coach! Depending on my current work load, and if I believe we might be a good fit, we can start by scheduling a free, no-obligation 30-minute intro ‘chemistry’ session. If, after that, we mutually believe we are a good fit for each other we can continue with an agreed upon coaching plan.

What is a Professional Coach?

A Professional Coach is a trusted and trained expert who can help you identify and uncover what keeps you or your business from reaching the fullest potential. It is a one-on-one relationship that provides a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you create what you want for yourself. You can find a Coach to help you strategize and acquire the tools you need to achieve your goals, break negative habits, acquire new methods of identification, and take action to achieve your maximum potential.

What types of people have Coaches?

People from all walks of life work with Coaches to help attain their goals. Business and Life Coaches work with people in all areas of their life including relationships, career, finance, health and more. Working with a personal Coach is not limited to any type of person, but is best for those who want to take initiative in their own life.

How will Coaching help?

The results will vary depending on what brings you to a Coach. If you get a Coach to help you out professionally, coaching can help you be clear about your purpose (the ‘why’), make your current job more gratifying, gain better focus on managing your work, and market yourself more effectively. If your reasons are personal, you can find a life coach to help you improve your relationships, resolve ongoing negative behaviors, improve your overall health, and grow spirituality.

How much do you charge?

After an initial (free) session and, assuming we mutually agree that we want to work together, I will provide a tailored fee proposal. I’m not the cheapest coach on the market, but you get what you pay for! As a general guide, you should expect to invest from $3k to $30k+ in coaching, for you to get results and change in your life that you really want.

Life changes are often priceless. Moreover, I would expect any changes in your business or career to yield a return on investment many times more than the money you spend on coaching.

What happens in a Coaching Session?

Each session is tailored to the client and will vary based on specific needs and if focused on an agreed objective. In the beginning, we will discuss what you are committed to accomplishing through our work together and we will begin to create a plan to achieve your goals. Periodically, you may be given assignments to help direct your progress. We will work together to acknowledge obstacles, explore alternate perspectives and celebrate successes. With the conclusion of each session, we will revisit the objective and evaluate the next steps that are needed to achieve these results.

Do I really need a Coach - can't I just do alone?

Coaching can take you above and beyond your own personal limitations. More often than not, people try to achieve their greatest potential, but don’t even realize what stands in their way. A personal Coach can offer an unbiased and objective perspective, and can help you realize your patterns and habits. Most people experience that they are more efficient when working with a Coach and that this provides the opportunity for them to better realize their potential. Coaching can make your dreams attainable and will give you support and encouragement along the way.

How is Coaching different from Therapy?

While the coaching I provide can be therapeutic, it is not therapy. Coaching is distinct from traditional therapy because it is not designed to address psychological issues. While emotional issues may arise, the primary focus of coaching is to help you identify your goals, achieve them, and develop constructive habits and skills. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, but instead the focus is on creating what you want now and in the future.

How long do people generally work with a Coach?

To experience the effectiveness of a coaching program, we usually suggest clients make an initial three-month commitment. At the end of the three months, we will evaluate progress and discuss options for continued coaching.

Is coaching confidential?

What we discuss will be held in confidence and not shared with others. However, our discussions are not privileged for legal purposes. The privilege of confidentiality that exists for the clergy, therapists and attorneys is not granted to coaching professionals. That said, coaching is a confidential process, and your personal information will always be protected.
